Our prices are based on customers supplying us with print-ready artwork. If you do not have suitable artwork we can organise a design for you based on your instructions.
Obviously there will be an additional cost for this, but you will of course receive a written quotation for the work for your approval before a start is made on the job.
If we have any special requirements about how the artwork is set up for the specific item you are ordering we will tell you this on the order confirmation you receive.
If you have got suitable artwork available it should be presented to us as follows:
Format – High-resolution PDF
Colour – CMYK
Bleed – 3mm
Safe zone – 3mm
Resolution – 300dpi
Fonts – Outlined or embedded
If you cannot supply artwork in this format – for example because your artwork is a JPEG or EPS file – we may still be able to use it as it is, or convert it to suit our requirements. This will incur an additional charge, but again you will receive a written quotation for the work required before anything is done.
Please note that if you have any problems emailing artwork we have another email address that will take attachments up to 50mb in size – alexandercc@fastmail.co.uk
An alternative is to use the website www.wetransfer.com which is free and reliable.
When we receive your artwork we will then ‘flight check’ the technical aspects of the file to ensure we can print from it, focusing on issues such as incorrect dimensions, low-resolution images and unembedded fonts. We will let you know if we come across any problems, and ask you to correct them and send us a new file.
Please note that we do not normally provide a PDF proof of your artwork but you can order one for an additional £5 (plus VAT).
Please remember that our technical ‘flight check’ is not a replacement for checking and proofing. Clearly it will not pick up factual errors in the content, or problems such as part of a logo having been missed off. Please check everything carefully before sending us the file.
